Still, safelists have a niche in Internet marketing. Now, if you are interested to have your own list, safelists can help you grow it. Essentially, all you have to do is to bribe people with something of value that you give to them gratis and they give you their email address. This way you are developing your own list which is much more powerful.

Which leads us to the question "Do I need my own list?" Yes you do, at least if you wish to succeed. If you ask anybody who has been an Internet marketer for a long time they will tell you that you can make more or less $1 per month for each person you have on your own list. While that may not seem like a considerable amount, think about what happens if you have your own mailing list of 5,000 or 10,000 people?


This is an average as every person on your mailing list is not going to just buy a $1 product from you each month. What this means is when you email your mailing list with a good subject line and good content in the email marketing a good product, you can expect to make about 1 sale for every 50 people on your mailing list each month. This is merely an example, but if each sale you make makes you $50, there is your $1 per person each month.

You can even mail a different offer to your mailing list every day. Plus, there is no limit to how big you can grow your mailing list. There are also a variety of ways that you can start developing your mailing list. You don't need to just utilize safelists. One technique which is very popular is just by placing a form on your website or blog so people can sign up for your free newsletter. It doesn't stop there however, you can utilize any technique or program you prefer that can help you build your mailing list. Basically, you can grow your own mailing list to any extent you prefer.

So, safelist or your own mailing list, which one should you concentrate your efforts on? You should be using safelists but only to the point where it is helping you build your own mailing list.
